IBEROAMÉRICA

2026, №3 (July – September)

This issue of the journal Iberoamérica includes four sections. The first one is dedicated to infrastructure in Latin America. Valery V. Andrianov examines the region's energy infrastructure; Pavel A. Kuchinov analyzes the current state and development prospects of the transportation; and Andrei D. Zhukovskii and Anastasia Espinel Suares provide a comparative analysis of infrastructure development in distant  territories  of Colombia and Russia.

The articles in the second section are dedicated to climate changes and environmental challenges. Olga A. Illarionova explores nature-based solutions in major metropolitan areas across Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, while Yulia S. Popova discusses the link between environmental sustainability and the "blue economy."

The third section analyzes various aspects of the domestic and foreign policies of Latin American states. Due to general elections approaching in Brazil, the situation in the region's largest country has drawn the attention of researchers. Dmitri Y. Gadalin focuses on the psychological profile and current political image of incumbent President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, while Violetta S. Olkhovskaia compares the platforms of the two leading presidential candidates and outlines potential future directions for Brazilian foreign policy. Maria A. Shpak examines threats and security narratives in the discourse of Argentine President Javier Milei, and Vladimir A. Goliney addresses security issues within the Inter-American regional system.

The article by Marcos R. Pisarski Jr, included in the fourth section, explores the representation of hunger within "Third Cinema," a specific movement in Latin American filmmaking.
