Publication Guidelines for IBEROAMÉRICA Journal
Dear authors:
The journal IBEROAMÉRICA is published in Spanish and accepts original scientific articles from Russian and international scholars on current issues in economics, politics, sociology, culture, international relations, and law in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. All manuscripts undergo a plagiarism check and anonymous peer review. The authors have full responsibility for the factual content and the views expressed in their articles, which may not always reflect the opinions of the Editorial Board. Full-text materials published in Spanish, along with abstracts and keywords in Russian, Spanish, and English, have been available in open access on the journal’s website since January 2010:
https://iberoamericajournal.ru
and in the electronic library at:
https://elibrary.ru/title_about_new.asp?id=28681
No publication fees are charged, and no author royalties are paid. The Editorial Board reserves the right to change article titles and make editorial reductions, subject to author approval. If the authors are proficient in Spanish, the final version of the article is sent to them for confirmation. Manuscripts that do not comply with editorial requirements will not be considered.

Following this information, a brief abstract (up to 1,000 characters, including spaces) and up to 10 keywords should be included. The abstract must be informative, reflecting the article’s main content, research objectives, methods, key findings, and their scientific significance in a structured manner.
4. Footnotes and explanatory notes should be formatted as regular text at the bottom of the page and marked with an asterisk (*). These notes should serve a clarifying purpose.
5. At the end of the article, only sources cited in the text should be listed. Sources must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals in square brackets in the order they appear in the text.
6. Tables, diagrams, and graphs should only be included when necessary to support the author’s arguments. They must be titled, numbered, and formatted in grayscale with different hatch patterns for clarity. Figures and photographs can be submitted in both color and black-and-white with high resolution. The print version of the journal includes images only in black-and-white, while the color version is published online.
7. Recurrent names, surnames, and toponyms must be written consistently. The first mention of a person should include their full name (including middle name, if applicable) and surname, followed by initials for subsequent mentions. The individual’s nationality and professional field should also be specified (e.g., Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, Mexican economist Juan López, American political scientist John Johnson). For national leaders, the years of their tenure should be indicated.
8. The first mention of an organization, political party, association, or company must include its full name without quotation marks, followed by its abbreviation in parentheses and the full official name in Spanish or the original language along with the foreign abbreviation. For example: Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional, FSLN); World Bank (Banco Mundial, BM); Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe, CEPAL). Subsequent mentions should use only the foreign abbreviation.
9. Names of foreign newspapers, journals, and news agencies must be written in italics without quotation marks, using the original language (e.g., Granma, El País, The Washington Post, Associated Press, Izvestia).
9. All data, quotations, etc., must be accompanied by citations from the original sources, marked with the corresponding reference number at the end of the article. Citations from Spanish-language sources, including those paraphrased by the author, as well as specialised terminology, must be provided in Spanish in parentheses.
Bibliografia References Библиография
The list of sources and references appears at the end of the text and is numbered in Arabic numerals according to their order of mention in the article. In-text citations must be placed in square brackets, indicating the source number from the bibliography at the end of the article, and, if necessary, the page number separated by a comma. Example: after a quotation or statistical data, [1, p. 33] is used, where 1 is the reference number in the bibliography and 33 is the page number. In the bibliography, only the source details are provided, including the total number of pages for books and page ranges for journal articles. For repeated references to the same source, the same number is used with a different page number if needed, e.g., [1, p. 38].
The list of references should be in the original language. For sources in Russian, Chinese, Arabic, and other languages the English translation is given in square brackets.
